The Ultimate WordPress Page Builder

The Ultimate WordPress Page Builder

As you may know we try each month to bring something new into the site.

We get lots of requests and have a shopping list of items that people want (roll on Black Friday!). But there’s one plugin that has been requested twice as much as anything else and the giant beaver graphic may have given you a clue!

Beaver Builder by FastLine Media LLC – https://www.wpbeaverbuilder.com

WordPress page builders are currently all the rage in the WordPress community and you only have to look at the amazing 214,209 sales that the Visual Composer plugin has had to know that these plugins are big business. And rightly so, we used the visual composer plugin to build this site and it took us half the time to build.

But … it’s clunky to use, slow to respond and if we were to change the theme, it would leave shortcode carnage in its wake.

Then there’s Beaver Builder. As a WordPress page builder it’s a similar product but the drag and drop interface is slick and responsive and although we’ve only had the plugin for a couple of weeks we’ve already built a couple of sites using it and it’s just been a dream to use.

Seriously, we’ve just thrown all other page builders in the bin. In fact we’ve even used it with the Avada theme which comes with it’s own page builder and it’s got nothing on this one.

This isn’t a review post though, just a heads up. But if you want to see what others think then Pippin Williamson did a stellar review of all WordPress page builder plugins and Beaver Builder came out on top. You can read the review here. What seems good is that the team behind Beaver Builder are always improving and producing new content for it, so over the coming months you should see some decent improvements and additions to what’s already a very decent product. You can see the roadmap over on Trello

Better yet, go try it for yourself! It’s now live in our directory in the plugin section so members can just log in to give it a spin. We’re sure you won’t be disappointed. If you’re not yet a member then what are you waiting for!!?

One final thing we always try and say … if you can afford Beaver Builder or you think you may need future support for the product then please buy it from FastLine Media and support their work. It’s the best drag and drop page builder on the WordPress market without exception. It costs $99 for the standard edition which is the one featured on GPL Vault or $199 for the Pro version which is multisite compatible.

We would tend to agree with the Pippin Williamson review here that multisite is a core WordPress feature and users shouldn’t have to be required to pay an extra $100 just to run Beaver Builder on a multisite install. But if you read his review you’ll also see that it’s trivial to remove the code that prevents you from doing so. On balance you also get a theme with that edition of the plugin so the upgrade may be worth it, although we can’t comment on how good that is.

If there’s anything you would like to see featured on GPL Vault then please drop us a line. Obviously we can’t accommodate all requests but if something is requested often enough then we’ll always try to bring it into the site as long as it’s 100% GPL.

Enjoy Beaver Builder![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
